"I'm looking for Org-12. But I'll take tuna, if you have it."

PB: Cat

NAME: Zunar J5/90 Doric 4-7
NICKNAMES/ALIASES: Jake
AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: August 17, 1976 [Earth Standard Time]; Two Years Old [Earth Time]

POWERS: Telepathy, telekinesis, levitation, molecular "freezing," molecular transfiguration

HANDICAPS: Jake's a cat, so he's definitely limited by his size and strength. Also, without his collar he's nothing more than an ordinary cat. He can't use any of his powers. He'd still be able to think and reason, but he'd be unable to communicate in any normal sense of the word.

APPEARANCE: Four legs, a tail, yellowish-eyes, white whiskers, pinkish nose, white chin, and various interesting (but very normal feline-esque) markings. He's something of a dirty orange and brown colored cat. Nothing fancy or pedigree about this kitty. Except for the fact that he's definitely not of this world, he looks like the everyday average Tom Cat.

PHYSICAL QUIRKS: He has a V-shaped patch of darker fur on his forehead.

SPECIAL ABILITIES: Operating spaceships, flight (he's docked over 1,000 flight hours,) gambling, great scientific knowledge (specifically elements and chemical compounds)

RELATIVES: Mother and the rest of his litter

OCCUPATION: Space traveler and scientist

EDUCATION: Top of his class in science, mathematics, and quantum theory. Has the human equivalent of a PhD in astrophysics. Also graduated top of his flight class.

TELL US SOMETHING WE DON'T KNOW: Although I've taken all of the history provided by the movie, this version of Jake decided not to remain on Earth with Frank, Liz, and Lucy-bell and accept American citizenship. He fixed his ship and managed to catch up with the rest of his fleet before they broke hyperspace, and continued to travel with them.

HISTORY: Zunar J5/90 Doric 4-7 was born on a planet far off into the deepest regions of the galaxy. Another galaxy even! So far from Earth, that Earth-men could barely even begin to grasp the concept of such a far away place! Of course, that didn't mean that there weren't other creatures out there in the universe watching out over the Earth-men and learning about their ways. Zunar J5/90 Doric 4-7's people were one of these such groups of creatures. But they weren't creatures. Oh no. They were a highly advanced society of felines.

Cats.

In Zunar J5/90 Doric 4-7's society, technology is so far advanced beyond Earth's standards that the comparison is (quite simply) akin to the Ancient Greeks vs. the Neanderthal man. They've adapted their entire culture based on powers of telepathy, telekinesis, levitation, and molecular transfiguration. And since they've mastered these abilities (with the help of their special collars) their size and structure are of no matter to them. They function quite well. And their advances in space are like no other! Space travel made easy. Of course, to qualify for flight you still have to be trained and top-of-the-class. Just like Zunar J5/90 Doric 4-7 was when he went through his schooling.

Well, not so long after completing his schooling, Zunar J5/90 Doric 4-7 was performing routine missions alongside the Mother Ship, when he crash landed on Earth. Lucky for him he was able to escape (looking like nothing more than a normal cat) but his ship was taken into custody by the United States government. While trying to find a way to get back to his ship, Zunar J5/90 Doric 4-7 enlisted the help of a scientist, Dr. Frank Wilson. Frank gave him the new name, Jake. It was easier for the human to say.

Along with Frank, Liz, and Link (two other scientists who worked with Frank,) Jake was able to retrieve his ship. Of course, he did learn a lot about Earth culture and had a romantic interlude with one white persian beauty named Lucy-bell. And he also had to indulge in a bit of gambling to make enough money to buy the Org-12 he needed to refit his ship, but it was worth the risk. Then he was able to fly off and meet the rendezvous with the Mother Ship and continue his traveling. Promising, of course, to come back and visit if he were ever to return to the neighborhood.

PERSONALITY: Jake is a fun-loving feline. He makes friends easily. Even among humans. Well, there's always dog-people. They tend to stay away from him. But not for his lack of personality! He's creative and ingenuitive. When not in a situation that requires seriousness, he enjoys relaxing and spending time with friends and family. He especially likes to meet with the lady-cats (with whom he's definitely the cat's meow!.) He's very charming and hard not to like. And he's also extremely intelligent! He wouldn't be flying spaceships with an average I.Q. No sirree! He's the perfect representative of his people. Polite, respectful, humorous, and smart. But, being a cat, he can be easily distracted. Especially by tuna fish. Yum!

MISC: I think it would be great if someone were to "adopt" Jake, so to speak. Someone to let him live with them. Someone with whom he can share his knowledge and experience. I also think a great plot idea would be someone stealing Jake's collar, since that is what all of his power is transferred through. And anyone using the collar could have that power as well. In the hands of a villain it could be a dangerous thing!
